A debilitating illness in 2017 rocked my world. At the time I had 3 kids under age 5. I needed my body and my mind to cooperate so I could care for my family. The inflammation that took over my body was almost unbearable. I received a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis and was started on a host of medications, which only mildly worked and had side effects like “kill your liver”. Yikes! After recognizing signs of addiction to one of these medications, I knew I needed to seek alternative care and get to the bottom of my dis-ease. I knew that taking these pills for the rest of my life was not the solution. My search, and heavenly guidance, took me to a doctor in Mexico.
There I went through several detoxing therapies, received stem cell injections, and a boost of nutrients via IV. I left Mexico with more answers and hope than I had had in months.
I have continued to learn how to detox and discover what it actually takes to feel better. Hint: it includes more whole foods and reducing stress. I love helping others to obtain optimal wellness for themselves. It is important to me to teach how to make living well practical. It can start with creating small daily habits and making swaps for better products.
I received my training through the Integrative Health Practitioner program. I am a self-improvement junkie and love learning! I love organizing and creating peaceful spaces. I’m working to live a more minimal lifestyle, which has given me so much more calm in my life. I love dance parties with my 3 boys #boymom. I love making and eating delicious food that brings happiness to those I share it with. I am a summer girl at heart and love spending time hiking, gardening, or at the beach.
I believe our bodies have the ability to heal, but it is our responsibility and privilege to provide the best environment for that healing to take place. In my own healing journey I’ve learned that we have much greater control over our wellness than we are allowed to believe. Suffering with constant aches, pains, fatigue, brain fog, and mood swings are not normal. These symptoms are our body's way of telling us something is not right. Our habits and daily choices play a huge role in our health and wellness.
